It’s official. The performer for the 2013 Super Bowl halftime will be Beyonce. The singer announced the decision to her fans by posting a picture of herself on her Tumblr account with eye black and “Feb 3” and “2013” written on either side of her face. Beyonce last performed at a Super Bowl inHouston,Texasin 2004 when she sang the national anthem. Next year’s Super Bowl will take place inNew Orleans. It will be the first time the state has hosted an NFL championship since the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.
