Amtrak officials announced Sunday that service between Washington, New York, and Boston will resume with reduced volume on Monday. Following closures and track damages caused by Hurricane Sandy last week, full service to and from New York will be delayed while repairs are made. Travelers and commuters reliant upon the Acela Express and Northeast Regional services are advised to reserve seats by phone or on the internet to avoid lines.
