President Obama presses ‘to-do list’ on Congress

President Barack Obama presses his legislative “to-do list” for Congress on Wednesday. The president will begin with a visit to a company in the Washington, D.C. area, where he will emphasize the need to invest in small businesses and increase new hiring. He wants Congress to pass a bill that would give a 10 percent tax credit to companies that create new jobs or increase wages this year.

President Obama will also push the list while he attends lunch with congressional leadership. After a meeting with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, he’ll award the Medal of Honor to Army Specialist Leslie Sabo Jr. posthumously. Sabo was killed in 1970 in combat while serving as a rifleman in Cambodia during the Vietnam War.
