Museum group honoring 2 lawmakers on Capitol Hill

Two lawmakers will be honored by the American Alliance of Museums on Capitol Hill for their support of U.S. museums on Tuesday. Senator Tom Udall of New Mexico and Representative Michael Grimm of New York recognition’s coincide with the museum group’s Museum Advocacy Day in Congress. Tuesday museum professionals across the country will be visiting lawmakers urging them to support museums and art funding. Despite budget cuts, Udall has been a leader in supporting funding for both the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the humanities while Grimm has been a leading supporter for the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services.
