52-year-old police officer Calvin Willis is being charged with assault by his girlfriend following an incident last Sunday. Willis and his girlfriend have two children together, and she is pregnant with a third. Willis, who is currently married, arrived at his girlfriend’s house following a wedding he attended with his wife; his girlfriend was babysitting a child from a different relationship of his. Allegedly, upon arrival, an argument broke after one of the children had injured his head while Willis was gone. The argument escalated, and Willis is being accused of grabbing the woman by her hair and slamming her into a wall, stating “I’m going to kill you and throw you out the window.” The girlfriend also claimed that Willis kicked her in the back and leg during the altercation. She stated that this is not the first time Willis has assaulted her during their 10 year relationship, but she has kept quiet due to ongoing death-threats by Willis. The two met some 10 years ago while Willis was working night patrol; at the time, Willis was 42 and the alleged victim was 15.
