Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon is facing a possible season-long ban from the NFL due to violating the league’s substance abuse policy. Drug violations are becoming a regular occurrence for the 23-year-old Gordon. He missed the first two weeks of last season due to using cough syrup with codeine, a substance banned under NFL policy. In college he was removed from his Baylor team after being suspended twice for using marijuana, and following a transfer to Utah, Gordon did not play after failing another drug test. Despite missing games last season, Gordon was still lead the Browns with 87 receptions, and the NFL with 1,646 receiving yards. When asked to comment on his possible suspension, Gordon said “That’s something you’re going to have to talk to [agent]Drew Rosenhaus about. I really don’t know anything about it.”
