On Friday, 25-year-old singer Chris Brown admitted to violating his probation. Brown was arrested in connection to a misdemeanor assault charge near the District of Columbia. Los Angeles County Judge James Brandlin sentenced Brown to 365 days in jail for violating his probation. Of the 365 days, Brown is being credited for 234 days for 5 months already spent in court-ordered rehab, as well as 2 months spent in prison immediately prior to his hearing. Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, stated “I would expect that Chris should be out of jail before the weekend’s up. If he isn’t out by Monday, then I would expect he’s getting special treatment. He’s got over 230 days credit on a 365 (day sentence) and generally the sheriff is releasing on a lot less than that.”
