R&B singer Chris Brown was attacked in a New York City club early Thursday morning. News reports say the fracas involved Brown and rap star Drake and hint that it might have been about singer Rihanna, who they both dated. But Police, who were looking for surveillance footage and talking to guests who witnessed the melee at the WiP club, haven’t identified the assailant. Brown, famous for songs “International Love” and “Run It!” and his girlfriend, model Karrueche Tran, sustained several injuries. Brown, 23, tweeted a picture of his face with a cut on his chin, but quickly removed it. The two were treated at a hospital and have since been released. Drake’s spokeswoman Allison Elbl Striegel issued a statement saying the 25-year-old singer “did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind last night at W.i.P. He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began. He did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property.”
