Robin Roberts takes a break from ‘Good Morning America’

“Good Morning America’s” anchor Robin Roberts has decided to take some time off from the morning news program. Roberts, who was diagnosed with MDS or myelodysplastic syndrome earlier this year, said she is starting to feel the effects of the blood and bone marrow disease. The 51-year-old newscaster said Tuesday that she was “not feeling too well” and would take some time off “just to get some vacay.” ABC had already announced that Roberts would be taking a few weeks off, but her break came earlier than her planned medical leave for a bone marrow transplant, which was supposed to begin at the end of August or early September.
