Occupy Wall Street visited by Alec Baldwin

The Occupy Wall Street movement received an unexpected celebrity endorsement when Alec Baldwin decided to stop by Zuccotti Park. The actor said on twitter that he spent “a too brief two hours” speaking with demonstrators and helping clean up. He said later that the media seems to be focused on characterizing the movement and who the protesters are, rather than paying attention to the message.

Baldwin has done advertisements for Capitol One, which some Occupy Wall Street critics pointed out. Baldwin responded that his Capitol One earnings went to art charities, and that the problem is with the banking system and not the banks themselves.
