Creators and cast announced plans of a new addition for the critically acclaimed show “Arrested Development.” The plans include a spinoff show that would continue the stories of the Bluth family members, leading to a much-anticipated movie. The show was cancelled in 2006 after three seasons, citing low ratings in spite of a passionate fan base.
The show starred Jason Bateman, Michael Cera and Portia de Rossi, playing members of the dysfunctional Bluth family. Creator Michael Hurwitz has said the proposed spinoff would consist of nine or ten episodes focusing on each character, reuniting them in the movie.
