Two people were killed at a kosher supermarket with an automatic rifle at the supermarket near Paris’ Porte de Vincennes. However, the French Interior Ministry denied the reports. Several others were wounded. The mysterious gunman was threatening to kill hostages, if authorities attempted to find the two brothers behind the previous attack. The police official described the events as “clearly linked.” According to reports, the gunman declared “you know who I am.” Police took out the gunman and freed multiple hostages. The two brothers were hiding out at a small printing warehouse northeast of the city.

Cherif Kouachi and Said Kouachi were killed in the shootout with police, and beforehand said that they wanted to die as martyrs. There were two suspects in Thursday’s shooting of policewoman Clarissa Jean-Philippe, and Hayat Boumeddiene and Amedy Coulibaly. An official identified Coulibaly as the market hostage-taker. He was also linked to Wednesday’s massacre that left 12 dead, including two police officers. Boumeddiene is believed to be his accomplice and girlfriend. Boumeddiene’s current location and role in the supermarket attack are unclear. However, there was not necessarily coordination between the two attacks. Parisians have expressed their desire for all of this to end soon, so they no longer have to live in fear.
