Harry Reid missing Senate’s start

Senator Harry Reid (D-Nevada) had to miss his first day back in Congress on Tuesday as he recovers from a freak exercise accident that occurred last week. He sustained three broken ribs and the right side of his face was shattered. Reid’s aides mentioned that he is also suffering from a nasty concussion and is sticking close to home for an undetermined amount of time. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) commented that Reid (a former boxer) is a strong man and wished him a speedy recovery. Once he’s back, Reid will continue to help dictate how the Senate functions. In a video his staff released Tuesday afternoon, Reid promised to keep fighting for the greater good.
