Japanese student falls into Niagara Falls, presumed dead

A Japanese student is presumed dead after she fell into Niagara Falls a police report states. According to Niagara Parks Police Chief Doug Kane, it is the first accident of its kind that he can remember in the 35 years he’s worked at the falls.

A search Tuesday came up negative and search crews have yet to find the student’s body. Her name has been disclosed and she is presumed dead.
