A 14-year-old Pakistanian boy is being called a hero after tackling a suicide bomber and dying at the main gates in front of his school, saving his schoolmates. The ninth grade student Aitazaz Hassann Bangash was headed to his school, Ibrahimzai School, on Monday in Hangu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The bomber, dressed in a school uniform, asked Bangash where the school was located.

Other students claim they saw Bangash challenge and throw a stone at the bomber. As the two scuffled, the bomber apparently panicked and detonated his bomb. Both Bangash and the bomber died at the scene.

Bangash is survived by his father, older brother, and three sisters.
