The Washington Redskins have hired Jay Gruden as their head coach, who is the brother to Jon Gruden, former Super Bowl-winning coach and broadcaster. Previously an offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals, Jay Gruden was said to have taken the job officially Thursday.
Gruden was a successful Arena Football League player and coach has been with the Bengals since 2011. He will be inheriting one of the most profound quarterbacks in the NFL after joining the Redskins, Robert Griffin III.
Although Gruden was not Washington’s first pick as head coach, they will have a promising future with Gruden.
