In a list that ranked the “Best Cities for Business,” Washington D.C. came in first for the second year in a row. The ranking, compiled by the Marketwatch study, looks at how businesses are concentrated in an area, and whether they contribute to local economic growth. The government employs 12 percent of the region’s workforce.

“The nation’s capital has it all: a plentiful supply of companies large and small, a strong economy, low jobless rates and, of course, a huge governmental infrastructure to lean on during the hard times,” Marketwatch said. Businesses listed one main complaint of the area; the amount of time spent commuting.
