Teen arrested on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon

A teenage boy has been arrested in connection with a January 30 attack on a Metrobus operator. The fourteen-year-old was arrested Tuesday on assault with a dangerous weapon charges for reputedly attacking the operator with a Taser. The incident happened at Nicholson Street and 6th Street in Northeast. The teen allegedly used the Taser on the bus operator’s right arm without provocation. The operator was immediately transported to a local hospital after the attack. Video footage from aboard the bus was used to identify the young suspect on the E4 bus. His name is being withheld due to age.
