RG3 Brings Redskins to 4th Win of Season

0

The Washington Redskins scored big against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday evening. This victory, the Redskins first at-home win in eight games, brought celebration and reassurance to both fans and players. And at the heart of the elation is quarterback Robert Griffin III, the Redskins’ Heisman Trophy winning first-round draft pick from 2012. Despite suffering his first NFL concussion in last week’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, RG3 showed no signs of weakness. He ran for 138 yards, scoring two touchdowns including a 76-yard scoring run in the final moments of the game. He also threw for 182 yards, completing 17 out of 22 passes.

The final score was 38-26, with the Redskins outdoing the Vikings in yards and time of possession. Compared to recent years, this season has seen the Redskins on the rise both offensively and defensively. Fans have responded accordingly.
