VP Nominee Paul Ryan to Visit Virginia

As election-day approaches, candidates are making the most out of their time. Following visits from Ann Romney, Michelle Obama, and Barack Obama, Vice Presidential nominee Paul Ryan will make two campaign stops in Virginia this week. Ryan is scheduled to attend rallies in Lynchburg and Fredricksburg on Tuesday.
These high profile visits signal an important turn in Virginia politics. Since 2008, Virginia has proved itself to be a hotbed of national politics, and with 13 electoral votes, a vital swing state for candidates to win. Going “blue” for the first time since 1964, the 2008 election brought Virginia to the forefront of local and national politics, with nominees courting voters from both parties.
