NATIONAL NEWS – New Hampshire House passes bill raising the legal age of marriage to 18

The New Hampshire House passed a bill that would raise the minimum age for marriage to 18 years old. The bill passed in a 192-174 vote. In 2016 the state raised the minimum age of marriage to 16 years old.
The bill was sponsored by Sen. Debra Atlschiller, D-Stratham. The legislation now goes to Governor Chris Sununu’s desk for approval.
