President Obama remembers victims of the Holocaust

President Barack Obama will pay his respects at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C. on Holocaust Remembrance Day. The White House reports that President Obama will discuss his administration’s strategy to prevent and respond to mass atrocities and address the United States’ pledge to “never again” allow genocide to happen.

President Obama will also take a tour of the memorial museum. Nobel Peace Prize laureate and Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel will introduce the president. Later in the day, President Obama is expected to present the Commander-in-Chief Trophy to the Air Force Academy football team at the White House. He will also meet with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
