Metro officials say that a group of Metro riders rescued a 73-year-old woman who had fallen onto the subway tracks. The woman fell on Saturday at Dupont Circle station.

A Metro spokesperson said it is unclear how the woman fell onto the tracks, but she was rescued and taken to George Washington University Hospital with a non-life threatening head injury. The services of the train were not affected, as it was not in the immediate area.
