Metropolitan Police Department have stated that a seven-year-old girl was shot in the leg at the Park Morton Apartment Complex playground, located along Morton Street, in Northwest around 7:20 p.m. She was one of two people shot at a playground. A man had also been shot in the back. Neither injuries have been reported as life threatening. District of Colombia police are searching for a black man about 19 or 20 years old who is about 5 foot, 4 inches tall and wore a black hoodie, black skullcap and sunglasses at the time of the shooting.
