Public meeting to take place concerning increasing traffic

0

A public meeting will be held in Manassas Virginia on Monday, where commuters in the Virginia area can give their opinion on the congested roads and ways to alleviate traffic. Many commuters spend hours in traffic, but Virginia has been working hard to build fast toll roads that will cut down on traffic significantly. Northern Virginia’s population is expected to grow by more than 2 million in the next 30 years.

Virginia has also looked at other modes of transportation, like rail lines and commuter buses across Northern Virginia and D.C. The meet will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Four Points by Sheraton Manassas Battlefield in the Washington Room. A final report is expected to be made in November.
