Prince William County’s Dale City and George P Mullen Elementary Schools were chosen for the federal Green Ribbon award. To be awarded the honor, schools must have high achievement in reducing environmental impact and cost, improving health and wellness, and providing effective environmental education.
Chair of the Prince William County School Board Dr. of the Prince William County School Board said, “We are immensely proud of Dale City and Mullen Elementary Schools’ achievements in being named 2024 Green Ribbon Schools.” He continued, “This prestigious honor reflects our commitment to environmental stewardship, sustainability education, and the well-being of our students. By fostering a culture of eco-consciousness, we empower our young learners to become responsible global citizens.”
