The NFL’s 50th Super Bowl will be held in the Santa Clara. After beating out Miami for the opportunity, it was announced that the Northern California city will be accommodating the first Super Bowl in their area since 1985. 49ers CEO Jed York remarked, “We are so excited to be able to be able to put on the ‘Golden Super Bowl’ in the Golden State.”

The Super Bowl will be held in the 49ers’ new stadium, which is scheduled to open next year. It is currently one of the most high-tech stadiums in the world. With the help of Microsoft, the NFL was able to make this venue the first cashless, ticketless stadium in the history of the NFL. It has also been announced that 25 percent of the profit from the Super Bowl will be donated to causes dedicated to fighting poverty in San Francisco.
