Pitcher Stephen Strasburg has been placed on the disabled list after enduring a Grade 1 lat strain. Mark Zuckerman of CSN Washington confirmed the news via Twitter on Wednesday. The injury is not serious and has no effect on his pitching arm.
Strasburg will be allowed to come off the list on June 15. Nationals players Bryce Harper and Danny Espinosa are also currently on the list. Jayson Werth recently returned to the team after he was placed on the list in April.
