With the first selection in the 2014 NFL draft, the Houston Texans selected Jadeveon Clowney. Clowney is a 6’6” 266 pound example of pure athleticism; he ran a 4.53 40-yard dash, and has been one of the nation’s top football prospects since he was in high school. Clowney will join the Texans already talented, yet often (this past season, very often) struggling defense, run by defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel and new head coach Bill O’Brien.
