The Navy Lacrosse team honored World War II veterans in a photo salute at BWI that has since gone viral on the internet. On their way back from playing Notre Dame last Saturday, the team crossed paths with the 67 veterans and had the opportunity to meet with them. As buses carrying the WWII veterans left the airport, the Navy team lined up and saluted these honorable men.
The moment was captured by camera and uploaded to the Navy Athletics Facebook page. It has since garnered much attention by fans sharing or liking the photo.
