There is a quality to this time of year that harkens back to simpler times. Or at least to memories of childhood. It is exactly this quality that has been bringing revelers The Corn Maze in The Plains, VA where families can explore a giant corn maze, wander through pumpkin patches, and purchase delicious fall treats. This year, people have been visiting owners Hub and Kate Knott for another reason as well—a 980 lb pumpkin nicknamed Priscilla.
Priscilla has to be moved my forklift and was grown specifically for size and are not good for eating. The Knott’s are not sure what they will do with the pumpkin after Halloween but say some people have suggested a celebratory explosion with dynamite.
