Powerful blues singer Etta James dies on Friday morning in Riverside, California. James’ cause of death was due to complications from leukemia. She began her career in the 1950’s and became known for songs, such as “All I Could Do Was Cry.” James was 73 years old, but leaves her influence in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Blues Hall of Fame.
