Penn State University’s former football coach Joe Paterno died at age 85 on Sunday morning. He had been in the hospital suffering from lung cancer since Jan. 13. Paterno had an iconic career of 46 years at the university, which had recently been overshadowed by the sexual abuse scandal involving former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky.
