Reality TV star Kim Kardashian and rapper boyfriend Kanye West welcomed a baby girl into the world this weekend. The name of the child has not been released, but reports claim she was born at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
The child is the first for Kardashian, who has modeled, acted and sang, but is most notably recognized for her hit reality TV show “Keeping Up With the Kardashians”. The 32-year-old has a huge international following, with at least 18 million followers on Twitter.
The baby girl is also the first child for rapper Kanye West, who started dating Kardashian last year, shortly after Kardashian filed for divorce from NBA player Kris Humphries. Kardashian and Humphries were married for 72 days. West was at his soon-to-be wife’s side during the entirety of the delivery.
The gender of the baby was revealed during an episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians”, and although the baby was a few weeks earlier than the initial July due date, the couple is ecstatic to begin a new chapter in their lives. “I’m so excited we’re having a girl. Who doesn’t want a girl? I think they are the best,” Kardashian said. “I know that’s really what Kanye has always wanted. He wanted a little girl.”
