Entertainment – Prince remembered on his birthday

Amidst the ongoing investigation into the death of pop icon Prince, fans still celebrated the star’s birthday. Fans around the world remembered Prince on social media and radio stations, with some wishing he was still here to see the celebrations. The Saturday before Prince’s June 7 birthday, director Spike Lee threw a party in honor of his friend in Brooklyn, New York. The color theme was purple, with plenty of dancing, performances and celebrity sightings. Although Prince didn’t celebrate his birthday as a Jehovah witness, people still celebrated for him as Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton declared June 7 as “Prince Day.”
