World News – Truck driver kills dozens after attacking crowd in Nice

Late Thursday a truck drove into a crowd of people at Bastille Day celebrations in Nice, southern France, killing dozens of peoples. Reports say at least 84 people have died. The driver of the truck shot into the crowds before plowing into people for around 1.2 miles until his was fatally shot by authorities. French President Francois Hollande made a statement Friday morning after visiting some of those injured in the attack. “Why Nice? Because it’s a town famous across the world, a beautiful town, one of the most beautiful in the world,” he told reporters. “Why the 14th of July? Because it’s a celebration of Bastille day – of freedom. And it was to affect France.”
