Obama responds to killing of U.S diplomat

President Obama held a news conference Wednesday morning following the death of U.S diplomat Chris Stevens. With Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at his side, Obama promised to “work with the Libyan government to bring to justice” the deaths of Chris Stevens and other embassy workers killed in the attacks on an American embassy on September 11th. The protest was started after a low budget movie degrading the prophet Mohammad caused a riot which led to the American embassy.

“Make no mistake we will work with the Libyan government to bring to justice the killers who attacked our people,” Obama said, “We reject all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others, but there is absolutely no justification for this type of senseless violence, none.” Around 50 marines are being sent to Libya to provide additional security to the embassy. When Obama was asked to comment on Romney’s criticisms, he declined to comment and kept the focus on the attacks and bringing justice to those responsible.
