Zoolights date night

Zoolights, the popular holiday light show at the National Zoo, has long been a favorite destination for couples. This year, event planners are offering a special, couple’s only night on Dec. 14th from 5pm-9pm. Although normally free, the date night attraction will cost $60 per couple ($50 for Friends of the National Zoo) are include some romantic touches. Couples will be greeted with champagne and chocolate when they arrive, and have the option of having pictures taken in a giant snow globe. Dan Pierron, the special events manager at the zoo expects that the new snowless tubing slide will be a main attraction. He also urges visitors to check out the Invertebrate House and the Small Mammal House to see some of the zoo’s nocturnal creatures including sloths. There will be food and drinks available for purchase, including alcoholic options for spiked eggnog and hot cocoa.
