Officials in Washington, D.C. are working on an investigation to determine the cause of death and identity of a woman found dead in the C&O Canal in Georgetown on Saturday. Police responded to a call on Saturday morning around 10:30 a.m. and found a woman behind the Swedish Embassy in the water that flows into the Potomac River.
The medical examiner is set to perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The woman remains unidentified.
