Great Britain’s Prince Harry is in Washington, D.C. to accept an award for his charitable activities on behalf of wounded servicemen. The Prince is expected to visit with wounded veterans on Monday at the British Ambassador’s Residence. In the evening, Prince Harry will attend an awards dinner hosted by the Atlantic Council at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. The Atlantic Council is a Washington-based think tank. The Council’s annual award ceremony will also honor U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter.

Prince Harry is training as an Apache military pilot and has worked with a number of charities. They include Walking With the Wounded, a British charity that retrains and re-educates veterans, as well as Help For Heroes, which helps wounded servicemen and women.
