Thomas Gore, one of three campaign aides for Mayor Vincent Gray, is scheduled to be sentenced for making secret payments to other candidates and shredding the records of those transactions.
Gore’s attorneys requested a firm date in order for their client to continue living his life. Previously, sentencing had been delayed due to Gore’s cooperation with the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Ellen Chubin Epstein agreed to quicker sentencing but made no such agreement to lessen Gore’s sentence for being cooperative.
Gore is scheduled to appear before a judge on July 26th.
