Man faces charges after shooting mother’s fiancé

A District of Columbia man who allegedly shot his mother’s fiancé on New Year’s Day is now facing murder charges.

Thirty-eight-year-old D’Juan Renay Hunter was arrested by Prince George’s County police Thursday in Bowie.

According to police Hunter shot his mother’s fiancé, Raymond Quattlebaum, at Quattlebaum’s home in the 9100 block of Goldfield Place in Clinton following an altercation.

Hunter then fled on foot. 

Police arrived at the residence around 9 p.m. Quattlebaum was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hunter is still at large and faces charges of first-degree murder.

Police are asking the public to come forward with any information regarding Hunter’s location.
