A lobbying group in Washington, D.C. verbally slammed Congress what they call undermining democracy. D.C. Vote recently launched a new program called “30 days of disapproval.” From now until the end of the month, the group will criticize individual members of Congress on their decisions to vote on a spending bill involving marijuana legalization. The list includes 11 Republicans and 10 Democrats who have openly supported the bill. District leaders stated that because of vague language, it doesn’t actually bar the city from legalizing the drug. But Congress could still decide to stop legalization from happening.
