D.C. Councilmember Jack Evans is joining the race for mayor. Evans is the third candidate to join the race.
Evans, a Ward 2 representative and democrat, Tweeted that he would announce his candidacy on June 8th at the restaurant Le Diplomate on 14th and Q Streets in his district.
Councilmembers Muriel Bowser and Tommy Wells have also announced their candidacy. Both are also democrats. Current Mayor Vincent Gray has not stated whether he will run for reelection in 2014.
