Saturday marks the annual “Adoption Day” ceremony recognized by the Superior Court in Washington.
Twenty-nine adoptions will be made official at this year’s ceremony which marks the 27th anniversary of the day’s acknowledgment in the court.
Every child who has been adopted in the District of Columbia in the past year is invited to the ceremony. Each adopted child and their family will be recognized as a judge signs their adoption papers.
