Tayvonna Licorish, 26, has been sentenced to nearly three years in federal prison for her role in a 2008 slaying that prosecutors say was part of gang activity. Thursday in Newport News federal court, Licorish was sentenced to two years and nine months for misprision of a felony. According to prosecutors, she admitted to a number of witnesses that she was present when her boyfriend, Aronte Jarvis, shot Jontae Terry, 22, multiple times at a Kmart parking lot in Newport News. Jarvis was sentenced in September to life in prison for murder in aid of racketeering and other charges.
