Rafaella Griffin, 39 of Baltimore, was killed when the car she was driving was hit from behind by a box truck and pushed into a car in front of her. According to police, William Russell III, 56 of Elkridge, hit the rear end of Griffin’s Volkswagen that was stopped in the through traffic lane to make a left turn. The impact pushed Griffin’s vehicle into a Chrysler in front of her, also stopped in traffic. Griffin was transported to Shock Trauma in Baltimore where she later died. The driver of the Chrysler, Michael Thompson, 40 of Clinton, and Russell were not injured.
