Warner Theatre to host 2014 BET honors

Washington D.C.’s Warner Theatre will be hosting the 2014 BET Honors this Saturday at the theatre in downtown Washington. Actor and comedian Wayne Brady will hosting this year’s show, which showcases African Americans preforming at top levels in music, literature, entertainment, education and more. Announced in January, BET will be honoring both singer Aretha Franklin and Motown founder Berry Gordy. Rapper and actor Ice Cube, American Express CEO Ken Chenault and photographer and video artist Carrie Mae Weems will also be receiving tributes. The 2014 BET Honors is scheduled to air on February 24.
