Human trafficking shelter planned

The Arbor, a Charlottesville charity, plans on opening Virginia’s first shelter for victims of human trafficking. Although a location has not yet been identified, the shelter will house 10 beds. The charity has raised 60 percent of its planned operating budget for the shelter’s initial first year. More than 2,500 incidents of human trafficking were investigated from 2008 to 2010.
