WWE star Darren Young revealed he is gay during an interview with TMZ. During the candid, casual interview, Young was asked if he thought a gay wrestler could be successful in the WWE. He responded, “Absolutely, Look at me. I’m a WWE superstar, and to be honest with you, I’ll tell you right now—I’m gay. And I’m happy. I’m very happy.”
Young is the first homosexual WWE star to reveal his sexuality. In another interview with TMZ, fellow wrestler, John Cena showed his support for Young. He said “I know Darren personally. Darren’s a great guy. That’s a very bold move for him. And congratulations for him for actually finally doing it.”
